Dear All,
I have a simple file transfer question that I've been looking for its
answer:
I need to automate the copy command of a network folder contents to a local
machine folder every time the user logs in. I understand that I use group
policies but I dont know the network copy command. So in short:
I need to copy \\192.168.0.4\support\example_folder\*.*
to
c:\example_local_folder\*.*

Please note that the network folder (example_folder) contains subfolders
with files, not only files. Any comments?

MMMM. and an MCT.
And one who feels the need to list every MS cert they have.
Makes me kinda embasrressed for the guy. But everyone has a brainfart now
and then.

BTW, Is offline files an option here?

The specific answer I would
(Old school)
give is use a batch file with the old net use drive mapping commands as a
the bread in an Xcopy sandwich.

I could write the batch file right here, but where is the fun in that?
OR

(also oldschool, but there are newer versions of the tool)

Use the robocopy tool.

Which is pretty much what MR Helpful said.

Hi guys,
I just got back to my (old school) books and I refreshed my memory with
xcopy command. I did even use xcopy with more than 4 of its switches. By th
way Manny, offline files is not an option because I needed to develop a batch
to use it with group policy.

Again guys, thanks for your (nice comments).
