I have a scenerio which we have 2 domains in a trust. An NT 4.0 domain and a
Server 2003 domain. We are trying to copy users from the NT domain to the
Server 2003 domain.

However, once copied, their security rights to any files/folders are
removed. Is there a utility that can do this? Am i possibly doing something
wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, left out a very important detail and I misinterpreted what i meant to
say.

User copies over, security rights copy over.. but it still denies them
access to the OLD domain.. the NT 4.0 domain.. i'm starting to guess that I
would have to promote the file server to the new domain where the users have
been migrated for this to work.

If your migrating and not upgrading to AD then everytime you migrate a user
account a new sid is assigned to account by the new domain. Now the acl's on
your old file server will be using the old SID. Look into migrating the old
sid into the SidHistory attribute and read up in Sid-filtering over the trust.
Hope this helps,
- Mark
