Copy files with names accented

I have a desktop with windows in portuguese.
and a laptop with windows in english..
I can´t copy files via network between them
when the file name has a "~" on a letter...
do you know any solution?

This configuration is not supported by Windows. Even if you change the
codepage locally there are problems accessing files left over from the
provious codepage.

Your best bet is to archive (e.g. zip) the files in an archive with ASCII
only name and thansfer that file. Hopefully the target system will do
something sensible about it when trying to extract the files.
