Many thanks Sunil ... wow... must admit, I didn't think it would be that
expensive a job.
I guess it's understandable, in those circumstances, that BT would want to
ensure that ADSL was a viable concern in a particular area before lashing
out on the cost of conversion. I seem to remember reading about the
government last year giving BT 30 million towards the cost of conversions in
certain areas. It certainly looks like a lot of money still needs to be
pumped in before the whole of the UK is broadband enabled.
