Console Networking Problems

OK...I need help with this one. I have a wireless network at home which is
all functioning fine and dandy. I recently purchased a wireless game adapter
for my PS2 and XBox to use. I hook up the PS2 to the game adapter directly,
and I'm on with no problems. Same with the XBox, smooth sailing. Now here's
my dilemma. I want to be able to share the adapter without having to unplug
it from one console and plug it into another. So here's what I did:

I plugged both consoles and the wireless game adapter into the wired router.
Basically my thinking was that either my PS2 or XBox could pick up the
wireless connection as an active connection and presto. But that didn't
happen. I plugged my laptop lan cable into the router and that worked fine
without a problem. I was also able to go onto any computer on my network and
talk to the wired router that was ONLY connected to the wireless game
adapter which basically acts as a bridge. So my question is how can I get my
PS2 or XBox to connect through this setup?

Here's in a nutshell what I am trying to do:

PS2 --> Wired Router --> Wifi Bridge --> Wifi Router --> Internet...

Thanks for the help in advance...

If its the Linksys brand game adapter only one device can use it at a time.

You will need a stand alone wireless bridge and a small switch. I use a
Netgear WGE101 and it works great.

Unless you want to get into some needlessly sophisticated
network configuration, you only want ONE router in your LAN.
If your computer is running WinXP, it might have been able
to figure out its own way throughout a two router network.
However, don't expect a game console to reliably do the same.

Now, I'm not positive what restrictions there may be with
your Wifi Bridge, but I think this should work:

PS2, XBox --> Wired Hub --> Wifi Bridge --> Wifi Router --> Internet

You can substitute a wired switch instead of the wired hub.
A hub and switch do basically the same thing, except a switch
is able to handle multiple local transfers more efficiently
(e.g. two pairs of computers doing file transfers don't have
to share bandwidth).

You won't get that wireless game console adapter to handle multiple devices.
If you want to do that you need 2 wireless devices that function as
"bridges". In bridge mode you can attach a switch with your consoles
attached. Note: In bridge mode you won't be able to use other wireless
devices.

Your current wireless devices are functioning as "application points" so the
one on the game console side will only host 1 device.

I like the D-Link 900AP+ because I can toggle them between the 2 modes with
a software-click. They aren't routers though so you'll still need a
firewall.

OK.....I was able to get it working..no special configuration, no filtering,
no changing my router....I just plugged the damn cable into the wrong
jack..the WAN jack. Sometimes you can't see where you are plugging the cable
into when you are looking at the router from the front. I plugged it into
the port, and voila....PS2 back online.
If anyone wants a diagram of how I have my network setup, let me know.

Thanks for all your advice anyway guys...
