Hi all,

I need to install a text only version of OpenWRT on my router. I have
never done this and not great with hardware so any advice is desprately
needed. From a little googling I understand that I will need a 3.1V
TTL serial connector and have got a vague idea where this will need to
be plugged into.

Will a USB2Serial connector work?

My machine does not have a serial port on it so I will have to use a
USB2Serial connection.

Is there a NIX based program that I can use to commincate to the
routers serial port?

Any advice would be really appreciated

IME USB-serial works fine through a TTL converter.
