If I understand correctly, this computer has two different network
adapters (PC Card and USB) with IP addresses in the same subnet.
That's very likely to cause problems, because it will use one or the
other, but not both, to access other hosts.
If the USB adapter has a DHCP address, release it. If it has a static
IP address, change it to a different subnet. Then, try network access
through the PC Card again.
