Connectiong wind xp box to windows 2003 server

Hi

I am a newbie with windows 2003 server and i want to connect my windows xp
machine to my windows 2003 server machine. I just want a simple connection
with one cable . How can i do this?

Use a crossover cable and look here:

I would reccomend 2 cables connected to a hub. Crossover cables are
often unreliable and offer no expandability if you get another computer
that you want to network.
