Hi, I am in the process of comparing hi speed (DSL) providers. I currently
have had Qwest DSL for a few years now. I want to check out other options :
price & speed.
According to the icon on my task bar, it is connected and speed is 100.0
Mbps. That seems way too much becusae there was one place (earthlink) that
claims that they are 4X times faster than DSL from 1.5 Mbps to 6Mbps. Well,
isnt 100 bigger than 1.5 or 6? Big difference. Still, i dont feel that my
speed is lightening fast as cable would be.
SO, how can i accurately know the speed of my existing connection using
Qwest? Is ther a safe place to get tested on line? thanks
Windows Xp sp2 home edition

Thanks so very much for your help-! ! ! !

Hi
The connection to broadband Internet Modem is done through the network
settings of your computer.
Your computer has a Network card that is rated 100Mb/sec.
The Network Icon reports the card's "Speed" capacity and Not the Internet
Speed.
This might help in dealing with the Internet "Speed",
