Hi,

I have a Windows 2000 Server which is a standalone server within a
workgroup. Since a few weeks I am neither able to reach its file shares nor
to contact it via Remote Desktop.
My workstation is on the same subnet as the server and able to ping it. The
server has also VNC, IIS and CVSNT installed which I can reach from my
workstation without any problems.
The server is able to contact itself via remote desktop and UNC.
Currently the server has one NIC with TCP/IP and a fixed IP address
installed. There is no WINS server configured (and none available within our
network).
In the Event log the server reports the following two errors repeatedly:
(see below)

Has anyone an idea what I can do to make it work again? It used to work for
more than two years and I have not changed the configuration (afaik :-).

Thanks,

Markus

You may have two computers as master browser. use browstat to check the master browser.status.
