Connection problems USR8054 Wireless Turbo AccesPoint & Router

I already have a wired network which is connected to the internet trough a
PC with winroute and a DHCP server installed.
I bought 2 US Robotics 8054 Wireless AccessPoint & Router-s to connect my
wired network to annother building (wireless).

1 USR8054 will be connected to the already existing network
In the other buiding there will be annother wired network which will be
connected to the second USR8054.

My problem is that the 2 USR8054 will not talk to eachother. I allready
have been told to buy an USR AccessPoint and use that as a repeater in the
other building, but I dont want to spend more money then that I already did.

I want the new situation to be AS IF I have put a long utp wire to the
other building with a switch on the end

Can somebody tell me IF and if so HOW to configure the 2 devices?
