we have two servers in two different cities that are supposed to be
replicating. Things were working fine up till about a month or so ago
we moved one of the offices down the street from where it was. When
all our connections and network was turned back on the servers no
longer replicate. Server 2 will update Server 1, but Server 1 will not
update Server 2. Keep getting the following messages the RPC server is
unavailable, Cannot connect to reporting DCOM server. the only thing
that has changed is we moved Server 2 a few blocks down the street from
where it was and reconnected it. It is driving me crazy any thoughts
please??

we are connected using a T1 line. I am located at Server 2 and can ping
Server 1 with no troubles. I can even access the files that are on that
server from my workstation. For some reason Server 1 will just not
replicate to Server 2.

Hello skirk,

Sorry for asking again, did you try all 3 ways of pinging? Also what kind
of replication, DFS, AD or DNS? If they are DC's did your run dcdiag, netdiag
and replmon to check for errors? Please post an unedited ipconfig /all from
both servers.

Best regards
