I am unable to connect to my desktop shared file.
Setup is as follows:
Stand alone server 1 nic
Dhcp server 10.213.123.115 to x.x.x. 254
wrv54g linsys vpn router70.121.188.x
file server
ras/vpn server

I connect thru router no problem and using linsys quick link vpn software I
connet to the network but cannot see my shared files. Hope this is enough
info sure could use some help

Can you ping the remote computer IP? also make sure both sites are using different IP range.

Bob I can ping the remote computer ip however I am not sure what you mean
about both sites using diff ip address the router ip is 70.121.188.154 and
the desktop is 10.213.123.115 hope this helps narrow the problem

since you can ping remote computer ip, what do you receive if using net view \\remotepcip?

when using the net view \\10.x.x.x I receive "system errror 5 has occurred
" access is denied
