Yes, but you'll have to use the desktop as bridge, with
the inconvenience of having to keep the desktop on
whenever you want to have access on the LAN (i.e. on any
other computer). The desktop must also have an ethernet
port.
You'll get something like this:
Cable Modem <-> Desktop <-> MN700 <-> other computers
A better way is to replace the cable modem by one with a
ethernet port? Check with your ISP.
