I was able to get my notebook computer to work fine (connect to the
internet) using the wireless card but I can't get it to work using the
PCMCIA card. I set the IP address, Net gateway and DNS server address
the same for each card. I notice that the host computer has winpoet
installed, do I also need to install this on the notebook? I'm stuck,
is there anything else I need to do?

I need to be able to use the PCMCIA card because where I'm using the
computer, the signal is not strong enough to use the wireless card.

Check your linksys router for an option that will connect to the net for you
and enable dhcp. Remove all other settings from the other computers and they
should all get an ip from the router and be online as soon as they are
turned on I think this is the easiest and most secure way.

Or you could just enable connection sharing on the computer with winpoet and
use it as the gateway and all the ip addresses should be not the same but
slightly different. like 192.168.0.2 192.168.0.3.... ect If your isp allows
multiple logins then u could skip all that and just pop winpoet on all the
machines.
