connecting Windows XP machine to Windows 2003 server

We are running a Windows 2003 server and have recently
upgraded a Windows 98 machine to XP. Someone else set up
our server stuff, so I can't figure out how to do this.
On other Win98 machines, the XP machine shows up in the
network neighborhood, but when you try to access it the
message "logon server cannot be found". I'm sure I'm not
doing something on the server, but I have no clue! Can
anyone help? Thanks a bunch

Quite possibly, the Windows XP machine cannot access a domain controller to
verify the username/password for the Win98 users. If you are in a workgroup
environment, use the same username and password on the Win98 and XP
machines.
