connecting Win ME machine to Win 2000 network

I am trying to connect a Windows ME machine to our Win 2000 domain. I
go into change the network settings on ME and all the boxes where you
put in IP addresses are there but will NOT accept my mouse click so I
can type in them. They're not greyed out. This is exceptionally
frustrating.

Any help would be very gratefully received.
