connecting tivo to the MN-700

I cannot connect my tivo to the wireless router. The
problem is the IP address, which is a 169.xxxxxx. It
needs to be a 192.xxxxxx. My desktop IP address is a
192.x but for some reason the tivo keeps showing a 169.x
address. any suggestions?

Have you enabled MAC filtering?

Are you connecting via wired or wireless?

If you are using wireless are you using WEP or WPA?

What NIC are you using to connect the tivo to the MN-700?
