Connecting to Secured Home Network

Someone set my home network up using a LINKSYS router and two laptops access.
I now have a new laptop but don't know how to connect to this secured
network. The guy left a number and password taped to the back of the router
but I'm not sure where and how to setup the new laptop and where to plug
those numbers or passwords in. Any help?

You need to enter the same encryption key into the new laptop's wireless
configuration. You can confirm what you should enter by looking at the
wireless router's settings.

Usually you access the wireless router's configuration by putting its IP
address into a browser's addressbar. For ex., to access a Linksys
router you type 192.168.1.1 [enter].

Refer to the router manual for details or call the "someone" who set you
up. You need to know this stuff - it isn't highly technical; it is the
equivalent of knowing what kind of gas to put in your car.
