Connecting my xp lap top to my me desktop

On my lap top I am running XP and on my desktop I am running ME.

I've been trying and trying to connect them so I can share files between the
two computers but I just can't seem to figure it out.

Please help.

Do you want to connect them with cables or do you want a wireless
connection?
