I have created a second domain on my LAN because there are
2 companies on the LAN. Members of both domains need to be
able to access the internet through a proxy server on the
first domain. Is this possible and if so how do I do it.

Domains don't really come into it at all. It is really just a routing
issue.

Are these domains in different IP subnets? Can you ping the proxy server
from all machines?

Both domains are on the same subnet and I can ping the
proxy server.

Requires a trust, at least one-way. What *specifically* are you
having trouble with in configuring this?

Why would you think this, Jeff? It will be news to Mac and Unix clients
running proxy service!

Proxy server is an IP level process. All it needs is IP connectivity and
a browser which handles proxy server settings (and I have never seen one
which didn't).

How is the network physically configured? Are they all on the same
segment, or are there segments connected by routers? If on the same segment,
are they in the same or different IP subnets? Can a user in one domain ping
a user in the other by IP or by name? Can users in the "new" domain ping the
proxy server by IP?

Sorry about that. You have already answered those questions. What
actually happens when the clients attempt to connect? Any errors in the
event log (of client or server)?
