Start by resetting the MN700 using the reset button on
the back. This reverts the MN700 to the original
settings, including the password to admin
Then make sure the laptop wireless is set to obtain an
address from the "server" (actually the MN700) and no
security settings. Set SSID to MSHOME, channel 6, and
infrastructuire network (you get all this on the
properties for the network icon under Network
Connections).
Then, use IE and go to
http://192.168.2.1 to configure
the MN700 (using admin as password). Configure first the
WAN settings using the settings given by your ISP. Test --
you should be able to access the net.
Once everything is working fine, change the SSID on the
MN700, then on the wireless laptop (you'll lose
connection while both are mismatched). Repeat same
process for adding security.
