I have a Linksys 11b wireless router. I'm looking for ways to get
connectivity down to our barn about 175 feet away. Would an antenna do the
trick? One of those tin can antenna's I've seen on the net?

What exactly are the options and exactly how reliable and expensive might
this be?

Thanks for any advice.

It's a shot at a solution for you.

I don't own one but I am thinking about getting one.

you can setup a directional antenna or just a better omnidirectional one
both will increase the range
