connecting to an existing network

Help!!,
Please can someone tell me how to access the internet with my
laptop through wireless connection.
Ok my laptop is connected to my wireless router,but it will not connect to
the internet,the status says something like(limited or no connectivity).

Turn off _all_ security when troubleshooting wireless.
Turn security on only _after_ you get wireless working.
