Connect Windows-notebook wireless with a SuSE Linux Workstation via Cygwin(Xwin -query)

I would like to connect my Windows Computers and Notebook with my SuSE Linux
9.0 Workstation
via Cygwin ( xwin -query ) remotly to operate with KDE.

I equipped the windows machines with Cygwin and configured my linuxcomputer
as follow:
- put (IP or Hostname) in /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers (e.g. "192.168.0.10:0
foreign")
- acitvate rows "*" and "* CHOOSER BROADCAST" in /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess
- comment out "DisplayManager.requestPort: 0" in /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config
with !
- configuration of sections in /etc/opt/kde3/share/config/kdm/kdmrc ->
Xdmcp Enable=true und Port=177
- restart X-Server

Now it is possible to connect to the linuxmachine via both ways, SSH and
xwin -query. But
this is only possible via a direct cable connection over the router.
The router is responsible for IPs (DHCP).

On my notebook it is only possible to connect via SSH wireless to linux.
Xwin -query does not
work. Or via direct connection both ways are possible.

By wireless usage the xwin window appears, but the login window (KDM) does
not start.
Hat jemand schon mal so ein Problem erfolgreich gelöst?

Does anybody has similar problems and knows how to correct it?

warum benutzt du nicht einfach VNC ?
Gibts für wintendo und linux. verbraucht weniger bandbreite und die
programme sind nicht futsch wenn du mal kurz keine wlanverbindung hast.

Über VNC funktioniert alles wunderbar. Da aber auch andere Leute an der
Linuxkiste arbeiten wollen ( da ist ein OPS5 Compiler, etc drauf ), ist ein
einheitliches Vorgehen besser (VNC mit Viewer und Browser funktioniert)

Außderdem hab ich schon des öfteren gelesen, dass VNC etwas langsamer
sein soll.

Mit Cygwins xwin -query funktioniert das per direkter Kabelverbindung am
Router
ja super. Der KDM meldet sich, man kann sich super grafisch anmelden und hat
ein tolles grafisches Terminal.

Genau das möchte ich gerne auch über wireless haben.
