Hi,

I'm trying to connect to multiple computers running Windows XP using a
linux server. On each of these stations there is a single file that I
would like to transfer back to the linux server. I've looked into VPN,
but all these remotes need to have the same IP address for software
reasons. Is there something out there that will work easily to do
this. It would be about 100 computers to connect to every night and
pull the file. I'd rather go in and pull the file than have the
remotes push the file to the server.

Thanks,
Jeremy

What software reasons? Did you buy only one license?

If it is just to pull 1 file from all those systems to the linux box, you
could install openssh server on all those boxes and use scp on the linux
box to copy the files.

This makes it also possible to do some command-line maintenance on the
boxes.

I'd rather not have to install anything on the remote systems if
possible, but if its neccesary then I'd rather just have the remote
systems push the file to the server using scp or something like that.
