Hi folks,
I have a problem access VPN server from internet but I can access the VPN
server from the same 4-ports router.
Router: Netopia R910
VPN server: Win Server 2003,
NIC0(Internet):
IP: 64.146.141.131
Subnet: 255.255.255.248
Gateway: 64.146.141.129
NIC1(Company Network):
IP: 192.168.111.105
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.111.1

When I connect a XP client to the router on
IP: 64.146.141.132
Subnet: 255.255.255.248
Gateway: 64.146.141.129
the VPN connection is good. However, I can’t connect to the VPN server from
my home.
I contacted our ISP and they said all ports are open.
I did a lot research but still can’t solve the problem. Now I guess that
maybe the router doesn’t support VPN.
Could the router be my problem? How can I be sure the router supports VPN?
If the router is not an issue, what could cause my problem?
Thx in advance!

Netopia R910 is support VPN. What's the error code? I tested the port 1723 which should be open for PPTP but it is not open.

Hi Robert,
IP 64 should be 66.

Thx again.

From the interface(NIC0) under NAT/Basic Firewall, I found some information
might be useful.
Total Mappings(3), Inbound packets translated(29),Inbound packets
rejected(10), Outbound packets translated(26)

Does this mean that the VPN connection were rejected?
Thx.
