The purpose of getting validated by a domain is to centralise
account/password administration, to execute common logon
scripts and to apply common policies. I do not think that any of
the above are of interest to you, so why bother getting validated
by a domain? As long as you logon under an account name / password
that is valid on the respective domain, you will have full access to
the domain resources!
To avoid having to log on under different local accounts, you
can use your normal account, then place a couple of shortcuts
on your desktop that will assert your credentials. The command
line could look like this:
net use x: \\SomeServer\SomeShare /user

omainName\xxx
You will be prompted for a password. After entering it, you will
have access to all network resources at that site.
