Like on my Linksys router, the functionality for the administration of the
routers is just about the same for all models. The link using Acrobat
Reader (you'll have download free if not installed on a machine) tells you
how to set the Netgear router for PPPoE. It has to be very close to you
router model.

I don't think you need WinPoet period on the machines once you have the
router make the connection.
The NIC's should be setup for the basics for just accessing each other on
the LAN side of the router with only the NIC protocols and services on the
NIC's to make them share resources. Once you do that, I don't think you
need anything else on the computers to make the connection to EarthLink.
The router is the gateway for the Internet WAN and the LAN for the network.
The router has everything in its software to make the connection to the
ISP.
Before you had the router, the machines had to have WinPoet and whatever
other software and or settings needed to make a direct connection to
EarthLink. Now, I don't think you need all that software anymore on the
machines.
Do you know how to setup the machines with the required protocols and
services on the NIC's to make them share resources on a LAN? Search Google
on that.
You may need to be aware of the MTU MAX Transmission Unit size that the
router may need to be set to so that it can connect to the PPPoE.
1) Make the machines using the router without all that Earthlink software
installed, share resources with each other on the LAN side of the router.
Forget about doing anything wireless and make it work with the wire
connection first.
2)After you have done 1 above, configure the router to make the PPPoE
connection to the EarthLink network.
3) Try the EarthLink forum as someone else has tried to do this.
4) If all else fails, go to Britsys
www.britsys.com they are nationwide in
the US and they will bring everything (router and all) and hook you up.
Then all you need to do is get a wireless Access Point and plug it into the
router and go on about your business. <g>
HTH and good luck.
