connect but cant get internet access or share files

i have a desktop with a bridged wireless and lan conection and a sony vaio
laptop with a the same setup, i am trying to setup an ad-hoc network. both
computers seem to connect but i cant share the internet or share files ?

thanx for any help.

Maybe that f/w problem , switch it off meanwhile switch it off
