connect 2 PC with 2 wireless card without router wireless

Hi All,
you know how to tell me if it is possible to connect 2 PC with 2 wireless
card?
Is there need of some program? which is it?
Or is it enough to configure windows XP?
Is there some page web that explains as it makes him the connection?
Or you know how to explain me him to great lines...

p.s. I don't have a router wireless

Be sure each card is set to Ad Hoc mode, not Infrastructure, and that the
SSID (default) and channel (6) are the same for both cards. Also be sure the
same user/password combination has been added to both computer's Users
database.
