Both of them, but probably is better to get hardware that
provides the capability directly.
Alternatively, if you have an XBox for configuration, can
use an XBox wireless adapter connected to a MN500 --
although at the price of the Xbox wireless adapter may be
better to get a low end PC. The other alternative is
connecting the generic wireless adapter for the PS2 to
the MN500, which may be somewhat cheaper (again need some
configuration).
Another issue you need to consider is distance and
boosting the signal. The MS hardware does not provide
connectors for booster antennas (although some suppliers
offer an extender, it does connect electrically to the
MN500).
