Conflict with Win 2000 Pro and XP

My base station is MN-500 with XP.My lap top is MN-520
card with Win 2000 Pro.
Setup is very confusing. Will new MN-720 install easier
with win 2000 Pro?
Maybe an update on software or something. Anyone have this
problem?
