I'm trying to configure a SpeedTouch 585 v6 which came
without a manual. Not a problem as there's almost enough
information on the web to set it up.

I've configured almost everything via the web interface
(192.168.1.254) but I cannot see how to change the gateway
address. It's stuck at 10.64.96.13 which cannot be seen
by my existing network.

how do I change the gateway address?

Nick.

I should also have added that firmware and manuals are available from
http://www.thomson-broadband.co.uk/c...&ProductID=511
http://www.thomson.net/EN/Home/MiniS...y=DSL%20Modems

After much mucking around I determined that the above setting has
no effect. I eventually did get it all working but I've no idea
exactly what setting was responsible but almost everything
under Home > Home Network > Interfaces > LocalNetwork now has
a different value to when I started.

Port forwarding is also working and the TiVo managed to "phone
home" last night so I'm happy with the way it is now.

Nick.
