Hi,

I'm hoping this is a general Linux issue and that I don't need to do
anything specific for cygwin.

I need to use my cygwin install to access various web services through a
corporate firewall (configured using a pac script, but i can probably
get hold of a single IP address if I need it).

Programs I need to use include, ftp, perl, ssh, wget, linx etc.

Is there any one place I can configure linux to tell it all network
connections go through a proxy? If not, what do I need to do to get
these tools (for a start at least) working?

Thanks for your help,

Cygwin is a Linux-like environment for Windows...It is not a Linux OS. I
use my Cygwin installation to access my company's VPN network...My
understanding is that the Cygwin would use the settings of the native
winsock MS environment to network to other sites or devices.
