i have looked at many webpages already in a search for the
answer to my problem and have narrowed the possible causes
of my problem to either my network card or my router,
without any luck and therefore have come to you.

Here is the problem;

I currently have a BEFSR41 DSL Router with the latest
Firmware instlled.

The http connection appears to be less break occationally
for a moment but not that this causes any major problem as
the connection for http remains nearly constant.

The problem that I notice the most is that when I use MSN
version 6.2 the connection works for a half a minuete or
so and then is broken causing me to be logged out of MSN.

I am using Win 2000 pro.

I have a cable connection of 2MB with a dedicated cable
modem serving the router.

How can I configure the router to allow a MSN Instant
Messenger traffic?

thanks,

You should perhaps post to one of the general networking newsgroups or the
MSN support section. This newsgroup supports Microsoft's Broadband
Networking hardware and software.
