configure wap

Hi,
I know this isn't the optimum setup but anything different would involve
major changes. I have a linux box between my cable modem and a linksys
wap11 wireless access point (connected to the linux box through a nic). I
would really appreciate it if someone would point me to the directions
for configuring the nic/wap.
