how to configure my firewall so that viewer comes up

i am doing telnet to a machine and then i set the display setenv
DISPLAY my_ip_addr:0
before that i did xhost + on my machine.

when i try to use a graphical display on the machine which i telnet to
it comes up with a error
OI_init: Error, cannot connect to X server

Can somebody help me on this . If i have asked the question on a wrong
forum . Please let me know.

DON'T use telnet. Use SSH. It also sets your remote display...

the machine which i wanted to connect to has disabled port no : 22 used
for ssh connection.
