Hi,

I'm completely new to linux and had wanted to have a look.
I installed Suse 9.1, kernel 2.6.54.x. My problem is I cant setup and
configure my internal PCI Conexant ADSL modem.
I'm a real newbie and maybe a bit stupid, please help me how to install
that adsl connection very briefly...I know nothing about kernel
compling nor linux console commands etc.
Thanks in advance...

The fastest and easiest way to get your ADSL connection working is to
sell that PCI card and get an external ADSL modem with an Ethernet
connection. Then there's no need to recompile the kernel, install
proprietary drivers, etc.

I don't know if Suse support it, or what type of ppp your ISP needs, but it
does work on 2.6 with the drivers from here.

http://patrick.spacesurfer.com/linux..._pci_adsl.html

(some of it may not apply to you - depends on how you connect to ISP)

Andy.
