I am trying to connect to a dsl modem and my computer does not recognize the
modem. I did a diagnostics on my computer and I have FAIL next to
Network Adapters - (00720899) WAN Miniport (IP)
DefaultIPGateway = 64.209.145.234(Same Subnet)
IPAddress = 64.209.125.234
Pinging 64.209.145.234 with 32 bytes
of data:
Request timed out
Ping statistics for 64.209.145.234:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4
(100% loss
(00000013) Microsoft TV/Video Connection

What can I do to fix this?

What operating system is your computer?
Did the modem and the DSL provider give you a step by step instruction
manual?
I believe they come with a CD that walks you through all the whole setup.
Did you install the modem software?
Who is your DSL provider?
Did you call your DSL provider tech support department? They will walk you
through it over the phone.
