Hi All,

I have a windows 2000 domain controller at one site.

I have another windows 2003 server (not a controller just a member server)
at another site.

I have a hardware based VPN (router to router) setup between the two
locations.

From both locations I can ping the IP's at the opposite location, including
the domain controller. I have the remote windows 2003 server set to look to
the domain controller as it's DNS server.

but for some reason its like not of the windows services are working, I
cannot login to the member server using a domain account.

What should I be looking for to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

Lee

Can you ping the DC by name? Also it is better to setup WINS for the VPN name resolution. This search result may help,

vpn name resolution and brosingWINS is a practical requirement for browsing across routers. WINS is NOT a bad thing -- it can even reduce broadcasts on your network and make them more ...
