Hello,
I have a simple question, I am running a windows 2003 active directory based
network domain, via group policy I am disabling the computer browser service,
based on the fact that in a network domain the domain controllers maintains
the server/ workstation lists, is it possible to disable the computer browser
service on all the server that are not functioning as domain controllers? or
this service is a necessary service (we do not need the server/ worstation
appear in the network neigborhood),
thank you

Leave it be on your servers - unless you're having specific problems with
it. If you are going to have NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled at all, use WINS,
and your servers & workstations should all appear in the browse list (this
doesn't mean they're accessible....and I'd use hidden shares as well).
