Hi

I've a WAP354G adsl gateway that works fine (after 20 resets) however my new
router WRT54GS will not complete the set-up routine - error claims that its
not connected to my PC.

Any ideas? 50mins on the phone to India had the helpdesk suggesting I get
another one - the replacement does exactly the same thing even on an
alternative XP PC.

Cheers
Philippa

You might try posting to the microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web
newsgroup. This newsgroup supports Microsoft's Broadband Networking
hardware and software only. The real source of help on a Linksys product is
their support area.

I am having the same exact problem as you Philippa. If I find out anything I
will let you know and it would be great if you do the same.

Phew - nice to have company! Will do Jax - off hunting again now. Have also
posted on the linksys.org forum so hopefully someone will know how to fix
this (I'm amazed that this product is on sale)

I know how frustrating it is, but keep calling till you get someone who knows
what they are talking about. I had the problem and had to fix it by putting
in 192.168.1.1 and logging in as admin. I don't remember all I did as the guy
on the phone put me through it...keep calling and good luck
Cheers, Caddy
