Hi,

I recently bought a PCMCIA 802.11g wireless LAN card to be able to access
the wireless facilities on my university. When I tried to test the card
over there, I get kicked of the network every time I try to connect. I asked
the helpdesk over there and they told me they thought the problem could be
that my card makes use of some "unsafe ports" because of which the XS points
keep kicking me off.
Is there anybody who can tell me what ports this could be and how I can
close them? Here are some specs:

My wireless lan card: Planex GW-NS54G
Access points: Cisco (don't know details about them)
OS: Win XP home

Hope there is somebody out there who knows a bit more about this.
I would be really greatfull!!!!

Thanx in advance.

Daniel
