My wireless hub (a Linksys WRT54G) is in my home office, with my HP Media
Center PC (m7160n) in my living room.

I'm trying to use a Buffalo Air Station G54 "keychain" type adapter, plugged
into a USB port, to connect the Media Center to the wireless network in my
home. The Media Center is crashing once or twice a day, and says the reason
is that some unidentified driver is the cause. I notice that when I reboot
with the Buffalo adapter plugged in, the computer freezes at the point where
the HP logo comes up on screen. If I try rebooting again with the Buffalo
unplugged, the computer does the complete reboot with no problems.
Obviously, the adapter( or, at least, its driver) seems to be the culprit.

I've been to the Microsoft site that lists equipment that's proven to be
compatible with Media Center 2005, but there's no list of wireless adapters.
Does anyone know what adapters will work with Media Center? Failing that,
what else can I do?

If you don't want to/don't have room for an internal wireless card, I
recommend plugging a wireless gaming adapter in to the Ethernet port
of the MCE computer. I'd recommend the DLink DGL 3420 which I use
here.
