My college recommends i get the Cisco Aironet 350 wireless client adapter
card (AIR-PCM352) as the 802.11b network is built using Cisco equipment.
They say I may not get the same range if I use a non-Cisco card (vs. the
Aironet). Is this true?

Also, are their any recommendations for 802.11b laptop/notebook cards, based
on personal experience? would like to hear any suggestions before i buy a
card. I've noticed on pricegrabber that the cisco card is more expensive
that cards from linksys and netgear.

TIA
Andy M

Trust me Andy..... Buy the Cisco interface. I have had a world of
trouble getting Netgear and Lynksys cards to work with Cicso access
points with ZERO success.

In fact, since I'm here, anyone who knows why I can not connect a
non-Cicso card, PCMCIA or PCI Wi/Fi, please tell the world.
