Hi,

I have a netgear MR814v2 wireless-b router attached to my cabel modem
and it
works great for my home network.

Last week I bought a linksys wireless-54g usb/papallel printer server,
WPS54GU2.

When I try to get this to talk to my netgear wireless-b router, it
doesn't work.
And whats more, my netgear router stops working as well! (Ie, can't do
anything network-wise from my PC!)

I then connected a linksys wireless-g access point to my netgear
router and made the print server talk to the linksys wireless-g access
point instead. Everying works perfectly now!

So, is the linksys print server incapable of dealing with a wireless-b
device ?

Or is it incompatible with a netgear product ? Or both ?

And why is the netgear router so fragile that it STOPS working (wired
ports too!) when the print server is trying to hook up with it ? (THIS
IS BAD. SORT OF LIKE RADAR JAMMING!)

Thanks,
plutoman

The bottom line here is don't mix and match the equipment when doing
something like that. You have no one you can really point the finger at
for sure, since two manufacture are involved.
