Has anyone had experience with multiple adapters in a single
environment and have recommendations which ones have better reception
of singal. Obviously there is a important difference between adapters.

I just setup wireless in the house and found that the Linksys WIreless
G adapter cannot maintain a steady connection through two floors of
the house. My dell laptop which has a broadcom a/b/g chip in it has no
problem in the same exact spot.

The USB adapter cycles from 1 to 4 bars of strength and speeds from 1
to 48 Mbps. A few packets get through, but not reliably enough to get
a dhcp address or even get a ping through. The router is seeing
requests fairly often, but the adapter doesn't see the answers.

I had hoped to use a USB in this situation and I wanted to stay with
G-only in the house. Linksys is the first to have wireless G out,
although I imagine netgear will be close behind.
