I have a problem with a Compaw HNW-100 wireless pc pard. Whenever I
start downloading something it seems that the card resets itself. The
card disconnects from the access point and then re-connects but the
download is interrupted.
I use card for my laptop. I experience the same problem under both
Windows XP and Linux.
I wanted to update the firmware but I wasn't able to do so. It seems
that all of the links of Compaq regarding this card are broken. I
could hardly find some driver (1.34) plus firmware update (8.0) but it
didn't work. I tried to update the firmware but the software didn't
recognize the card. Then I thought that it may need it's drivers (I
was using the windows XP drivers then) and installed the drivers that
come with the driver/firmware update bundle but it only caused blue
screens of death to show up.
Anyone with the similar problems please help!
