I would consider Proxim. The AP2000 can be fitted with 2 transmitters
allowing either 2 access points per device or an access point and dedicated
link to another AP2000. They can also be fitted with external antenna. If
you use 802.11b then you get signal feedback from the client cards, but not
on the 802.11g cards yet. We have not encountered any problems connecting
non Proxim equipment to them to date.
